Eddie Cardona started his career with Highlands County in June of 1984 at the Road & Bridge Department as a laborer. He has served in many different job classifications throughout his career with Highlands County. In 1986 he found his calling in the Traffic Operations area of County Transportation. He has twenty years of experience in the Traffic Operations Department. Mr. Cardona holds several certifications in managing all aspects of traffic control devices (Traffic Signs, Traffic Signals, Roadway Lighting and Pavement Markings). Managing the safety of the motoring public via the media of Traffic Control Devices is a great honor for him. He serves under the authority of the County Engineer, Mr. Ramon Gavarrete, P.E. All employees at Traffic Operations take a very serious approach to serving the citizens of this wonderful community.
