Commissioner Harris is a native Floridian, living in Sebring for over 25 years.

He came to Highlands County in 1985 with his father to develop the Country Club of Sebring.  He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the current President/CEO of the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce.

Commissioner Harris’s past experience includes Real Estate Broker, Community Association Manager, Class C Utility Operator, Certified Food Manager, State Residential Contractor, and an Eagle Scout.

He is presently a member of Grace Bible Church and a Director of the Sebring Sunrise Rotary Club.  He is a board member of Leadership Highlands , Junior Achievement, Ridge Trails Association, and the City of Sebring Tree Board .  He is also a Take Stock in Children mentor.

Commissioner Harris is married to wife Janet, and together they have two daughters.
